Welp, today is the day.I’ve got may cat ears on and am ready for some Halloween fun.
Josh and I tried to set up a little get-together for tonight, but it will only be the two of us and one of his friends. (We’ll have a blast anyway.) The plan is to have pumpkin chili and s’more brownies while watching Halloween flicks. (Josh bought Rocky Horror for me a few nights ago, and we are both super excited to watch it.)
And, since this is the first Halloween I’ve spent at home in about three years (I usually travel to spend time with my mom because her birthday is so close to Halloween), I’m really hoping we get some trick-or-treaters at our door. Fingers crossed tonight’s rain doesn’t ruin trick-or-treating tonight.
I haven’t decided yet whether I’ll be doing a little crafting. (I’m hoping to make the spider candy basket.)
Of course, the movie night isn’t the only Halloween festivity.
Last night, Josh and I had some pre-Halloween fun. We watched Paranorman (finally!) while eating some delicious, sweet popcorn with sprinkles.
And today, my workplace had some interesting activities too. There was a pumpkin-decorating contest (with some impressive entries), a costume contest, a pie-eating contest and a pumpkin-seed-spitting contest. I only stuck around for the first two. There was also a Chubby Bunny competition while votes for the costume contest were tallied. I wasn’t sure if I should be amused or disgusted (I think I felt a little of both).
Oh, and in case you were wondering, I am a cat again.
